How did they say it? “One small step for a man, one giant leap for…” Never mind.
After two years of hard work, the day finally came. The first VL3 has officially arrived in the United Kingdom. VL3 serial number 652, carrying the very special registration G-JMBV, was handed over to its new owner on 26 September 2026.
The aircraft’s paint scheme combines Porsche Dark Grey, Porsche Silver and Honda Cool Turquoise, finished with a four-blade DUC Tiger propeller featuring colour-matched tips. But it’s not just about what’s on the outside — you can’t judge a book by its cover. Inside, G-JMBV features a full Garmin setup together with built-in redundancy.
Representatives from both the BMAA and JMB Aircraft joined the handover to congratulate the happy new owner and welcome them into the JMB family.
Once again, we would like to say a huge “Thank you!” to the BMAA for all their help and support throughout our journey towards UK certification. And, of course, congratulations to the new owner of G-JMBV. We hope she brings you many happy hours in the air.
